If you want to be guaranteed to see soaked sportswear, go and watch the Knaresborough Bed Race which takes place in a town in Yorkshire every summer.

The event involves teams of six runners pushing a bed/trolley on which is a seventh competitor around the streets of the town before a 60m swim across the local river.

All the runners wear full sports, running or gym kit, and they all get totally soaked.
