No. Games were cancelled that year. First and only (so far) time that's happened. Games have been played in all kinds of weather. Extreme heat where you are glad to get in the mud to cool off. Snow on Mount Washington one year and so cold players not on the field were wrapped in blankets and standing around barrels with fires in them . Was reminiscing with my friend Diana last weekend about the year there was torrential rain and she and I were the only two people that showed up to work on the chain gang. You actually need three. We worked every game and got totally drenched despite someone providing us with some very ineffective ponchos. We didn't have time to eat lunch or go to the bathroom. That was a LONG day! One year a hurricane came through and players had to clear the field of fallen trees before the games could start. Lightening is the only thing that stops play and delays games. Have to go an hour without lightening before games can resume. Normally games go on no matter what.
