When I was in scouts. at a Jamboree. there was a compass skill we had to do. They gave us a map to follow the route took you into the lake. Well the idea was to use your math skills to solve a triangle. so you knew how far up the path you had to go to reach the next point.Our patrol leader did the math equation. and said 500 paces up the path. my best friend and I were thinking it be more fun to take the water route. I was getting a bit excited in my uniform. I said out loud be more fun to take the water route my friend got a huge grin on his face and the both of us walked right in with full uniform. long pants and long sleeve shirt well it was about 5 feet deep up to my neck. When the other boys saw us they joined us in the water The patrol leader. said we we crazy a group of us grabbed him and threw him in the lake. it was one of the best times in scouts
