It was great to see this event back this year. Some good vids on Youtube, one from this year, and others from years gone by. As you say Mike, lots of soakings, many in my favourite Adidas gear.
Pre Covid there used to be a football match in the grounds of the castle at Alnwick, which I believe is in Northumberland. Held on boggy ground next to the river, this was another festival of wet sportswear. At the end of the match many of the players plunged into the river, and swam to the other side. Can't find any mention of it taking place this year though.
