Soaked at restaurant in the rain

e are experiencing a lot of rain in Southern Ontario at present, and I had to take apart a summer tent structure, which meant a lot of work taking out bolts etc in the rain. When my friend (female) turned up I had made some tea and we went to a nearby restaurant to order food. We waited for the food on the deck outside where it was raining cats and dogs, and since my jeans leather jacket, jean shirt and fleece sweater were already totally soaked, I waited beyond the overhang, seated so that the rain would get me much more soaked, the waitresses inside noticed and came to the window to stare, and when the food was brought, one noted that I was really, really wet. My friend and I went back to by cottages and played chess in the rain.
