You reminded me - carving the 'Jack-O-Lantern' was my fav as a teenager and placing a candle in it and turning the lights off or low. We kept them 'inside' as trick-or-treaters would typically do the smash them on the porch routine as they went around - guess that's more of the 'trick'.
TP'ing trees was pretty common on Halloween too back then by older kids. Fun to see that the next am in their 'friends' yards trees.
Hey, that sounds fun this year - lots of 'Pandemic Hoarding' TP in everyone's closet from when we thought there would never be any in the stores ever again!
